Combat Twin?

Why don't I ever see any twins on the combat scene? Either scale or open? I'm thinking of building one and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it - either with an amount of success or spectular failure? What tips or suggestions would anyone have?

I've never flown a twin before, so I'm looking for any kind of help someone might be able to provide.

Combat Twin?

Dear Ace Boogie,
I have campaigned twins in Scale 2610. After a lot of effort I abandoned them. They do not turn as tight as singles, are at least four times the effort and there is so much that can wrong that they are a liability rather than an asset.

If you go to www.georgiacombat.com you can see a collection of scale twins including my P61E, FW189 UHU, and DeHavilland Hornet DH103. Although I love them I will not be flying them in competition in the future.

The FW189 is being donated to a fellow masochist at the Paris, Texas contest in two weeks.

Good luck with your efforts.
