Do you mean a scale model of a modern fighter (like an F-15) with an engine hung on the nose spinning a prop to be used in R/C Combat? If so, then the answer to your question is no (at least I've never seen one anywhere). RCCA Scale Combat limits designs to the 1935 - 1955 era. While there are plenty of jet fighter designs to chose from that were manufactured during those years, most are too small within the scale requirements (1/12th +/- 10%) to be competitive. Gus Morfis has (had?) plans available for a few Korean War era jets. If Open class is the intended use of a "propjet", most jets also have swept wings. Streamers slide off of swept wings making cuts harder to achieve. Bottom line: Semi-scale, jet type designs aren't very competitive in R/C Combat regardless of the class being flown. Besides all of the above, jets are for kids. :D D |
