Cheapest Transmitter With Elevon Function

I am building a bunch of combat slope wings. One is for a friend. His transmitter is a Futaba skysport 6 and does not have an elevon function.

His radio only has a flaperon function. I don't believe this will work but if anybody knows please let me know.

If this radio will not work, then what transmitters out there would work?
It only needs two channels and an elevon function. I would prefer either a Futaba or Hitec. Remember I want to keep this as cheap as possible.

Thanks

not sure if this is what you're after but it's a cheap route ...... TURNIGY V-Tail Mixer. Ultra-small .....at.... hobbycity ...under servos and parts, page 4.....couldn't get the link to work

Would a servo reverser work. You can get a Y with a reverser to make both elevs to work together if that is your problem. IF one is going up as the other goes down. The reverser makes them work together.

Thanks kid for the info but I'm not sure that would work. Each servo must act independently in an elevon setup. There are two servos and the must act as both elevator and aileron in an elevon setup.

Thanks too Twistedprop I have considered the mixing route but would prefer a transmitter with this function. If I can't find an inexpensive transmitter with the elevon function then I will probably go that route.

the futaba 6 channel 2.4 has it and the same radio on 72 mgh has it also. it must be a computer radio. it also does v tail, flaperons and 2 chanel mixing. its not a bad price for all of the features, copared to the cheaper 4 and six channel radios

I am sure you can pick either of these up real cheap in the want ads or online somewhere.

Hitec Laser 4 also has elevon function.

A servo reversing Y will not work.

Your options are:

1. Purchase an aftermarket electronic mixer.

2. Build in a mechanical servo sliding tray, I think Dubro even still sells hardware kits for doing this.

3. Split the surfaces up into three segments ailerons and an elevator in the middle with their own servos on each. This was Sop for many flying wing or delta wing kits in the past due to the lack of electronic mixers or the complexities of mechanical mixers.

4. Purchase an inexpensive radio system and I agree with carrellh the Hitc Laser 4 or 6 is a good radio with elevon and can be had used for almost nothing.

Thanks

Looks like I am going to go with the Laser 4 or the Neon.

Just the info I needed.

Ahhhh fella's my servo reverser got it's feelings hurt. Good deal you got what you were looking for. I don't really know what mixing elves will do other than mess up Chisrtmas anyway.
