Scratch Build 10th Scale
It's a little raunchy on the three cell in it... Tonnes of torque from the MMM 2650kv and it's a little light in the back.
I'm not quite done with the body but:

I think the tires are old ProLines. I'll have a look later when I have it with me. I've had them literally 20 years. The axle is an Axial piece from the AX10/SCX10

RE: Scratch Build 10th Scale
Thank you so much now I know what to look for parts wise.
In the 50's I helped an older guy build a real truck looks just like yours. He started with a 1929 Studebaker pickup truck. By the time it was all done in about two weeks it had a 1954 GM Oldsmobile 342 cu" engine, with a 4 speed Hydromantic trans and a 1955 Chevy rear axle 4.10 gears. He chopped the body over the frame and a 5/8 plywood was bolted to the top of the frame to sit on. Chopped the roof down about 4 inches no winders, no fenders or running boards and shortened the bed to about two feet long. No gas petal just a straight rod from the carb that came right through the dash board where the clock hole was in the dash. It was one of the fastest cars in Chicago, IL in the late 50's I will never forget the 1955 Cadillac dual air snorkel air cleaner assembly sitting on top of the engine after he had it chrome plated. Atlas / Standard oil Bucron rear tires that just smoked no squeal. I am still smiling enjoying RC 1/10 scale and full size cars/trucks and boats @ 62 years old. Keep building!

RE: Scratch Build 10th Scale
I went super basic for front suspension. You can see it pivots on the rods back by the firewall. Up front I drilled through the 1/4" brass square tube axle into the bottom of the frame and used a couple of cap screws to capture cut pen springs between the axle and frame. Not too fancy but it works for my purposes.
