Default Would you guys buy a drifting tire set?

MY uncle who works in the plastic machining business recently made me some PVC pipe wheels for my truck. They were so perfect and fit like a dream. We thought maybe you guys would like to buy some. We would first buy a whole bunch of rims then make pvc tires for em and sell it as a package. I am not familiar with touring cars, but is there a common size of rim?? And how much would you guys pay? This is not cheap stuff, these wheels are high quality precision machined parts. So what do y'all think? The package would include rims and drifiting tires, but i need to know if "one size fits all" for touruing cars

Probably since they're not "tires" and just a piece of plastic that anyone can get at the hardware store for a buck you're not going to sell very much

With shipping, the total cost would be well over $6 for a set and that's without much profit. If you can package it glued to a set of rims, that might go somewhere

I think you need to explain better and post pictures then. How the crap can you "machine" pvc? You machine metal, not plastic. "Custom fit"? You might want to explain that one too. And lastly, i think most people would want abs tires since they're black if they're going to spend any money on them.

abs will wear out faster though. I'd get PVC if I had the choice. BTW, there's a nice set on ebay for $6 shipped. You won't be competitive at all selling that high... I'd definitely go ahead and cut it myself - they're just gonna get shredded anyway

Some guys obviously find buying a better solution to manufacturing (looking at sales on ebay) but if you fancy having a bash, crack on.

A lot of RC guys prefer making their own odds & ends (me inc.), a lot don't have a clue from one end of a screwdriver to the other.
