I understand why people only drift AWD with Rc but in real life in tokyo how do you get the car sidewards through a long turn with RWD without spinning out. i know how you would get the car in a small 45 degree angle drift but how with sideways. the only teknique i know of how to control it is the ditr kick- front wheels stay on the road while rear wheels are on dirt off track.

the ebrake is one style of drifting.. so isnt popping the clutch.. you can also do a power over.. coming into the corner you gas is and break the rear end free.. inertia or faint drifting is what i use... taking a sharp turn left then slamming it right while using heal/toe movements..
im not an expert at drifting by any means.. but i can do it still.... seriously if u dont have the drift bible, buy it. I've had it for about 2 years now.. and it helped me get my foot in the door so to speak

with FWD's it doesnt matter about getting into the drift but keeping it sideways. has any1 tried the tamiya ff-01? i thinks its a front wheel drive. any-how, i meant how do real drifters KEEP there car sliding SIDEWAYS without spinning out. RC cars spin out b4 they can get anywhere near sideways

B1az3 is correct, it stands for Japanese Domestic Market. Google "JDM Japanese Domestic," and you'll get matches for "Japanese Domestic Market." Ask around at http://www.Freshalloy.com , http://www.club4ag.com , http://www.zilvia.net , etc.

DAMN !
Hey oatmealman..I'd think twice about posting anything after that, ever. There's always someone that knows more than you do,and on the internet...there are thousands that know more than you.Sit back and learn something once in awhile....you probably won't even click any of his links and post back some excuse instead of an apology.

lol@ the driftin techniques arguement - how many of u actually drive?
floorin the throttle into a corner with RWD will unload the front tyres and u will understeer into the armco barrier/garden wall etc!! real cars dont drive much like a GT2 700bhp skyline yknow....so just be carful kids - ive seen too many "expert" drivers hurt ppl...
and yes front wheel drives will drift, left foot braking and lifting off the throttle into a bend create it, same as for RWD or AWD, its all about shifting weight around on the suspension, not just pokin a pedal or 2 at the right time.
just be careful

I was wonderin the same thing, how many people here actually have a real car they drift? and post back with a pick to back up the claim.I don't drift in a real car, never tried...and unless I get some large amount of extra money, probably never will.I'm just curious to see who drives and what they have.

im ashamed this thread is flooded with 12 year olds that think they know everything after watching 2f2f. that one retard didnt even know what JDM stood for. and flooring the throttle into a corner with RWD will NOT unload the front tires. you kick in the clutch so you constantly keep your engine running at high RPM's, allowing you to shift straight back into second or third comming out of a turn. you stay sideways by countersteer. its all about timing in the corner. you dont just floor it and turn the wheel hoping to drift. its flooring it at the right time, at the right angle, with the right ammount of countersteer. and your comment about understeer is retarded. as i mentioned earlier you wont unload the front tires, and you wont oversteer into a wall because you dont drift in such close quarters. jesus, what are you trying to drift in traffic while staying in your own lane? and you dont need a 700 WHEEL (im tired of seeing brake) horsepower car to drift. all you need is RWD or a skyline. i say a skyline, because its one of the ONLY AWD cars that can drift because of its ATTESSA system. the only mod you need in drifting is suspension. so before you try to act all high and mighty to impress all the other retard kids on here, learn the facts.

dont get me wrong, im only 16 and have a 03' civic ex, with the least exciting tranny in the world(4 speed auto). i have alwasy been interested by this stuff and i really know nothing. i know how to drift a micro rs4(well kinda), but i have no idea how to drift in real life. i asume that you need to get the rears loose, so in my car for example, you would need to pull the e barke and countersteer? i dont really know, and i will never try unless im in som kinda closed condition, but how would i do drift in this car?(is it even posible?) thanks.

"Raceme,I meant to tell you in another thread the other day that your car has come a long way..I remember it pretty much stock" galaxy, it has come a long way..but for some reason it still feels incomplete lol(still have to get a few suspension parts and i think a high speed servo)
back to topic
the way i think you can get a civic sideways is to carry alot of speed, do that feint drift technqiue(sp) with a lil ebrake. its possible to do a long sweeper with a ff car but thats about it. you cant do nothin like s turns i would think since you cant get the rear to break loose..could be wrong( i get all my info from forums like theses)
