Default Drifting question (car type)

Which car would be better, a belt driven car or a shaft driven car? at the moment i am drifting my TC3. i want to get a car mainly just to drift. i was checkin out some Yokomo's. the only prob with those is that i would have to spevial order the parts to get them delivered to my LHS. Then i noticed some belt drive cars and i thought those would make good drifters because it would equalize the torque to every tire as opposed to the shaft cars. Thanks for lookin..

BD is a hassle, especially for drifting since drifting mainly takes place on an imperfect surface with rocks and pebbles here and there. Rocks get stuck in the belts, belt tension wears out over time, and torque isn't improved much if at all. I can't think of any better car to drift with than a tc3/4 so you're really experiencing all there is to it.

knid of off topic but would having a locked read diff help in drifting? I reckon that it would give a constant speed on both wheels and allow an easier break of traction.
sorry if this complete bull though.

When using ABS tires, or PVC tires you're going to want as much traction as possible, so going for less traction is not a good idea. However, if you're using some rubber tires it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. I think people have tried one-way's front/rear/front and rear and said it worked. If you've got the parts laying around give it a try, what do you have to lose except an hour or two of tinkering.
