nice set up...i have the exact same setup. made for and was only used for drifting lol..speed and handling with the stock tires is excelent(sp). the best thing about it is that we dont have to change anything..just like a nitro(kinna) just plug and play..ill try to get some pics of my set up. the only difference is the radio equipment we have. mines is airtronics and yours is futuba i think.

yea im thinkin about getting a futaba FM mine is currently AM and im having frequency problems. but i have to say my car SCOOTS! i can keep up with my friends Nitro TC3. Im still kinda getting used to the power. i mean i can drift with normal tires if i wanted to. its insane. my first time hitting the gas my sas was there, i had left burn out marks on my driveway and he screamed "holy s**t that thing hauls butt!" i cant wait to see your settup .

heres the pics...my body is pretty nasty as i do actually use it..the body was orginally for an hpi sprint and made some extra holes so i can fit it onto my hpi rs4 3 also. the body is a 200mm one so i can get that deep dish affect from the abs wheels. also the body mount holes are slightly different from each other(hpi to team associated and electric to nitro)...other than the body everything is pretty clean i think..

opps [:@].....thats my micro thats up for sale...(really and accident)...well in the pic i dont have a body and i forgot to take one wit it on. to lazy now but you can see how i shorted the wires from the esc to the motor and soldered them up on the opposite side of the solder tabs to get a less crowded(sp) look.

get some 3000mah ni packs from epic motor sports...i think they cost like 10 dollars for one pack...i got two of em and that yellow 1500 one in the pick..the epic pack lasted for me around 35-45min. of run time drifting on flat surface. and thats only on one pack!...as you do know that the BL system is supposed to lenghten run times oh your batteries so it is believeable(sp). and with almost no traction and resistance on your motor it doesnt need that much power to spin the wheels..

yea i know i went WOT and i was having so much trouble controling it. it will take some time to get used to it. Im currently having frequency problems so i cant drive it right now . im gonna get an FM Radio if triming the wires doesnt help. the only problem is, the cheapest FM radio ive seen so far is around $220![:@]

lol yea i know exactly how you feel...rerouting all your radio stuff really helps..try not to sandwhich your rx between your st.servo and your esc..maybe try putting the rx ontop of the servo like mines..now the rx is higher than all the other electrionics and is less prone to glitches...i think the esc gives off a bigger magnetic field than the servo and try to keep the antenna away from all the power lines or any other lines.

Nice... brushless.Good stuff you guys got there. Raceme, if you need, here's a link to make deepdish wheels:

[link=http://www.rcdrift.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1939]http://www.rcdrift.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1939[/link]

What are your other mods other than the Novak systems? And how can you afford that!? [X(]

EDIT: My TC3 came stock with that shaft... so maybe he didn't upgrade that?

yea lol...i got the cheapest kit the tc3 had..i think its the racers version. yea i just seen that dyi thread, its pretty sick i should make some with my spares.. what i had previously before this was an hpi sprint fully modded(was was like nothin)every mod for the hpi sprint i bought. still wasnt satisfied so i sold all my electricals for it(7t reedy motor,16t something and the stock 20t,two novak esc, and stock radio) well i forgot how much i got from that but i got enough for the kit and my dad help me pay for the brushless...when you think about it a good motor with a good esc is almost if not the same price as a BL system..
as for my other mods is nothing...theres a link somehwhere where it shows you how to put a ntc3 steering rack into the tc3 for lessbinding and slop in the stock one. theres another one where it shows you how to mount the battery closer to the middle section for better weight distribution.

sorry cossie didnt see your post..well its simply because of my buget..but even if i did have the money to upgrade the drivetrain i wouldnt because it doesnt need to be upgraded..it already had bb everywhere needed and the driveshaft that runs down the middle of the chassis is more than enough to handle the toruqe(sp) of the BL motor. remember that i only drift with this baby, not traction equals no stress anywhere to any part of the drivetrain maybe except the pinion gear against the spur gear. so there really is no need to upgrade anything...and i also have a problem with just buying one upgrade part because once i buy one ill keep buying until theres nothing left to buy and man you really do catch the bug when that happens.

Well here is my story of my equipment.

I got my TC3 on christmas. I loved it! later on down the rad i got a Tuscan TVR body (my first paintjob). The body was a bit crude but i like the smoothness of it . About 4 months ago i saw a guy who had the BL System and i fell in love with it. I did a poop ton of research so i decided to get it. About 2 months ago i got my first job. My second paycheck i ended up buying the motor. i realized i was lacking body clips so i went to my LHS and got some yellow clips so they look good on my TC3 bod and they stand out on the concrete. (i probably lost 10 clips because i couldnt find em on the concrete[:@]). So far thats all. Soon to get an FM radio If Racers plan and triming the wires doesnt work.

As for my other mods, Just a 72 tooth:48pitch Precision Spur Gear, Team Losi $8 Pitch Pinion 24 T Gear. and a few titanium Screws. I might get some Aluminum A-Arms (still thinkin about that).

dont forget though if your drifting your constantly spinning the wheels which is making each individual driveshaft and bearing work harder so it is worth investing in some new bearings, alloy driveshafts and mabye steel diff outputs
