The tt-01 is a great platform for someone short on cash who wants to drift. If youve got a little extra $$ then there are better choices. the HPI Sprint 2 Drift version, the TB-02, Ta05, TC3, TC4, and whats widely considered the best the Ta03 Drift.

the TT-01 is a cheap, good, quite reliable starter car for drifting, and for track racing also really.

edit, also parts are widley available for them, aswell as tons of hop-ups

The TA03 RcMart are still selling is an R version, you will want to use the rear gearbox at the front and then buy an 03f rear gearbox to use. This will then get your motor mounted at the front for some proper drift action

Yes mate, on you go! You might want to have a hunt round the Bay tho for a black one, you can then get a black front gearbox sometime and the TRF chassis conversion, makes the 03f look sweet
