Default new nascada build problems...

somethings wrong... here's a description...

I bought a himoto nascada hoping it's a cheap solution for drifting since it comes with everything. Once ordered i decided to not cheap out and buy upgrades. Here's my setup...

duratrax sport forward/reverse 18T and above
co27 27T motor
futaba servo/rx/tx

oops. pressed enter. anyways. my abs tires didnt come in yet. and im using standard soft tires with pretty good grip. it seems like the response time from the tx to rx is really slow or something. i would sqeeze the throttle down and wait for a response. and when i do get a response. the reverse seems faster then the throttle! ***?? i hooked everything according to instructions double checked and tripple checked. One more thing. The speed seems crazy slow. turning at full speed doesnt get me any slip at all. even with a harder tire.. i know these things can AT LEAST SLIDE on an all stock setup.. any clues? thanks in advance

Does your steering take time aswell? you might have hooked up the motor back to front try switching the motor wires around then reverse the throttle control on you controler that might do it.

I have a himoto nascada as well and I love it. I see that you swithched the esc which is a most and also get a good battery if you havent already. When I change the battery the speed difference was crazy. It went from super slow to awesome drifts. Also lock your rear diff. I locked mine with paper and so far so good. For your problem check your remote throttle like dan said. That happende to me with my tt01, i had the throttle control in the remote in reverse and had connected the motor wires backwards. Try that and let me know. Hope this helps and the nascada is an awesome car for the price my himoto outdrifts my tt01 by alot. So dont worry is probably something simple.

All the stock electix in the Nascada are slow. Theya re also incompatible with many other brands of servos and esc. I have found that replacing all the stock electrix with an Airtronics Blazer was cost effective and much more reliable.

MY car was going faster in reverse than in forward. this happens because all "normal" cars have differential gear on the right side, the Nascada has differential gear on the left side.
Solution: adjust your timings
if you have a motor with locked timings you are screwed you'll need ether to change the motor or the car

I changed the car!!!!
