Default RE: locking the rear diff.

locking the rear diff is making it so both wheels spin at the same time"posi traction". this in turn helps the rear of the car kick out for the drift when throttle is applied

Depending On Chassis chosen will depend if the Rear diff needs to be locked...

In short.. Locking the rear diff just makes the car a little more Tail happy but will make it very edgy to race with..

It also increases Tyre wear...

yeah its not a requirement, and the same effect can be achieved with proper suspension setup.

Pull the diff out, get one of the Spider gears and stick it back in the wrong way.

Another method is to Fill the space in between the gears with Blu-Tac or play dough.. you still have to leave the gears in the diff, you just have to stop them from spinning..

Glue can become brittle and may do more damage then good..

The Blu-tac method is advised as it will act more as an LSD then a Locked one allowing you to have a tad more control then a full locked diff..
Or fill the diff up good and proper and it will run as a locked diff and the Blu-tac is easier to remove if you want to return it to a full racer..
