Default PLEASE Help! plastic or hard rubber tires for drifting?!?

i was wondering which tire is better for drifting. i had plastic n my rc was fast but no traction. it was hard for the car to turn. now i have hard rubber n my rc drifts but is super slow compared to the plastics. should i use rubber in the front for traction n plastic in the back for the drift? plz help!

well first you have to tell us what kind of tires, you def dont want to mix, Rubber tires should make the car faster and drifter faster, the ABS will give you less traction and less speed. HPI t types are kind of in the middle of the two. If your just starting out i would stay away from the hard rubber(drift radials) and stick with ABS or T types.

Well useing plastic tires is a much slower drift and is very hard to control unless your on a very flat surface. rubber tires are much better in my opinion just cause its much more realistic have you ever seen a real car drifting at 10mph. And i havnt seen a real drift car useing plastic tires either lol.

You can drift fast with plastic tires, sure not as fast as rubber tires but still good speed and control is def achievable with ABS.....
