Default Ball Diff Question Please Help

I got a pm asking about locking the ball differential for the Hpi Racing Sprint 2 Sport Drift using this part # 88073 and im not 100% sure on this and I want to give the correct information but I thought the whole idea behind the ball differential was that that part acts like a locked rear diff without having to be locked up like say the original differential has to be with like jb weld or hot glue so I dont think you need to lock the ball differential right?

I just tightened my ball diffs all the way down(not horsed down super tight). I don't think you get enough traction to have to worry about it after that. I think the tires will break traction before the diff will work. Or take the balls out and use traxxas slipper pegs in there place.
