keep an eye on it, eventually crazy glue will start to crack under the impact of on off throttle and you will have some play in there as the play gets bigger and bigger the gears grind away at the glue and pulverized it. I saw this happen to Sprint 2 diff and you were able to get a lot of movement at the wheels.

If you still have it open stick a more solid based glue like JB Weld.

Yeah I actually took it apart again and added JB weld to secure the lock.. But quick question for you guys, the rear diff works the way I want it to but I noticed in the front that the front right wheel has alot more power then the front left wheel?Like, I would pick up the car and rev it in the air and notice all the power is going directly to the right front wheel and the left front wheel is getting very little power.. And also, I can do a 360 easy if I hold full throttle while turning the wheels left and when I turn the wheels right and hit full throttle I get no 360 at all except the car drifting outwards left.. Any ideas?is my front diffs damaged?I never touched it at all yet? Please help, thanks!

Take it apart and inspect it. Sounds like a stripped bevel gear, the one attached to the outdrive. Definitely something, because the diff would still work, with no oil or grease. Give it a good check.

you think if I add a thick oil to the front diff it will equal out the power to the front wheels? Im going to open up the chassis now, ill post pictures so maybe you guys can see if theres anything wrong...

sounds like you definitely have something wrong with the larger outdrive bevel gear, either worn or broken teeth. TT01 are notorious for this, a teardown and exam is the only way to find out for sure. Also check that you do not have a bearing that is hanging up, this would give the same symptoms.

Alright, so I took the car apart and found no problems what so ever. All gears and bearings look good. I inspected everything precisly and checked the groves on the gears and everything is all good. I still dont understand why one front wheel gets more power then the other.. I even lubricated the gears and everything to equal it out, still no normal results. Here are some pictures. Oh yeah, and after I did a test run, I burned the MSC haha.. Oh well, that isnt even meant to be used for drifting anyways.. Tell me what you think?

Put the outdrives back in the diff, and twist each, one at a time. they should both (individually) turn the other outdrive in the opposite direction. One of them will not. that is the side, within the diff case (it doesn't look like you dissassembled it in the pics) that is bad. Take the diff apart, and take pics of it, unless the problem is apparent. I think it will be.

I put the outdrive back on the diff and works the way it should, Im out of thoughts now.. All the gears arent stripped or nothing, im not thinking of locking the front diff but i dont want understeer lol... agh this is fustrating!

O.K., so you:

1) dissassembled the diff and inspected the gears inside.
2) Checked the outdrive splines/key for damage (with both outdrives in the diff, hold one and the diff body, and spin the other. It should not be able to spin at all).
3) Checked the front bevel gear on the driveshaft for damage/missing pin/key (see that it is not spinning freely on the shaft).

By the pics, your outdrives look fine, so the only places that could be producing the problem are the ones noted above. You missed something. If you didn't disassemble the diff, you need to check all the internals again. I'm thinking now, that a pin/key is broken or missing in the diff somewhere.

It's definitely in one of the three areas. Check it again.

I inspected the internel front diff, and the bevel gears are fine with good gear mesh. I put the outdrive back on the diff and when I hold the diff and spin one outdrive, the other side of the outdrive spins opposite. I did this on both sides and both outdrives responds to each other the way I spinned them (Both Opposite directions). When I openned the diff, there were only gears in there, what pin/key do you speak of? And this is what it looks like inside when I open up the front diff.. O.K., different diff I was thinking about. On diffs with four spider gears, there is a pin, that "keys" the large bevel gears that go to the outdrives. yours is the MO5 type.

So, if the bevel gear on the driveshaft is O.K., and not spinning on the shaft, Like kstmRYD said, check your bearings that have anything to do with the diff, itself, and the wheel bearings on the knuckles. If it isa bearing,at least the work was notin vain, as you have pretty much done the proper maintenance on everythingelse! :)

The bearings all look good, I even lub them all back up and still no good results..=(

Well, I'm stumped. Without actually having it in front of me, it's hard to diagnose, if everything has been checked.

Maybe it's time to drop an E-mail to Tamiya America.

We just did a diff lock on my buddies TL01 last night... So much more frustrating working on this car than my TT01!

Disassembling the rear chassis is so easy to lock the rear diff!Theres even a video on youtube to give you a step by step idea on how to do it!
