redcat droop mod done
1 Attachment(s)
hey everybody just tought i should put up my lastest mod for my redcat. so far i cant find any redcat drift car with droop so i thought i would give it a try. i had to thread the hole, find a screw that fits and cut the scerw to the right length. know i can slame it to tha floor if i wanted too.
just so every one knows i kinda jumped the gun on buying my redcat but the more i work on it and more mods i do, i am really starting to like the car, i am going to make this car the best it can be. so if any one who has tips, tricks mods, or healpfull hints even if it has nothing to do with redcat i would love to hear them. well let me know what you guys think wipin it like a dragon tail gary "aka" drifting dragon |
RE: redcat droop mod done
Don't know what you've done so-far, but I bought a HSP (same thing as the Redcat) and put proper bearings on the axles instead of the crappy brass bushes, bought a 15 turn motor off ebay for $6 (the HSP ESC supports down to a 13 turn motor) and put the spacers above the springs to get the stiffness up a bit. Goes WAAAY better now!
Use a better battery than the one it came with- it's crap. Still bottoms out on the road so I melted a lighter flint into the chassis under the rear diff. Now I get a cool shower of sparks over big bumps... :D |

RE: redcat droop mod done
i found a set of set screws (grub screw) for the droop instead of the screws i used first. look 10 times better. but i posted a new thread on my mods for this car. monday i get my stuff so those pics and a list of mods will be in that thread.
the flint under the chassie is a way better idea than puting it the tireshttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...sn/thumbup.gif |
