Sprint 2
Does anyone out there have experience with these cars? I'm new to r/c drifting, and want to get into it. I'm thinking about buying the HPI Sprint 2 Drift for a starter car.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -carverrr
|
RE: Sprint 2
Buy it. Best upgrades for the price range. You really won't need to ever switch cars because you can get a carbon chassis, go brushless, and CS it.

RE: Sprint 2
I don't exactly know everything yet. I'll probably buy it and learn more I guess.
If you have any pointers...please send my way. I'm interested in learning.
|
RE: Sprint 2
You should definitely consider getting one. I personally own one myself and I am in love with this chassis.
I'm still running stock with NiMH batteries, old school yo.

Still having a lot of fun drifting too! It's a blast!

RE: Sprint 2
Best tip in drifting is PVC/ABS pipe... make tires from that, don't buy them.

Yeah. For sure.

RE: Sprint 2
Picked up my Sprint 2 today. I hate batteries. From what I read, need to slow charge for the first time. Then you can quick charge after that.
RE: Sprint 2
CounterSteer. It means you switch up your gear ratios so that your rear wheels turn faster than the fronts. This lets you hold a counter angle during drifts, which makes the car look and behave more like the real deal.

RE: Sprint 2
Thanks I had seen this before but never knew what it was about... my sprint 2 flux should be here in the next 30 minutes ups at work normally here around 11... so any good threads on first steps to setting up the car other forums i should check out on drifting?
