Best tyers for nitro drifting

Hi I have a hpi nitro rs4 drift car and I'm wondering what are the best tyers to use I brought a pair of yokomos pre mounted for like £50 set of 4, but I think these are for electric cars ideally because there is no grip atall rely can't get the power down at all. These are the tyers with like a plastic strip in the middle with a rubber lip on the out side and in, I'm wondering for nitro is it best to use all rubber tyers designed for puppose of drifting????????????

finally a post about nitro drifting! 5 years old, but still nitro. HPI used to sell a "Type-A" tire which was a hard compound rubber tire, with tread patterns. The plastic "drift" tires are for mostly electric im assuming because of the weight. They are light so they wouldnt be able to run rubber tires. We nitro guys have a bit of weight on the chassis so we need grip, us the ability to lose traction. If your RS4 isnt equipped with the Hpi stageD kit id worry about modifying your engine layout to mid-chassis before i worried about tires. When u buy tires, usually the description will tell u if its harder or softer. Get the hardest RUBBER u can. Im in the process of building my 1/10 on-road into a real Stage-D ****
peace
