will this car work as a drift car/ possible rac car?

can it be upgraded? all it needs is servo and radio right? and it says it has mechinal speed control isnt an electrnic better? can it be changed or what do u all recmend for a budget drift car. i have heard the tl-01 is a good drift and its th eonly brand my local hobby shop has other then traxxas.

i dunno if it can be upgraded but you want an ESC

They both can be upgraded very easily, but the tl-01 makes a great drift car (first hand experience though, READ SIG).

I put a set of 2" PVC tires on it and it is a total blast.

I've driven both and the tl-01 is a better drifter. And with a set of Yokomo Drift Tires it would be SWEEEEET!

almost Any touring car can be easily turned into a good drifter.
