drifting on smooth surfaces
This works best with Micro RC's but will also work with 1/10 scale RC's as well.
I have not done this but I saw it posted on another site and thought it was a good idea and would share it here. For those who do not have access to PVC or something else like that for making drifting tires. Take battery heat shrink wrap and put it around the tire and then apply heat making a nice smooth surface around the tire just like PVC. But works best on smooth surfaces because rough cement and the rough street will rip up the heat shrink off the tire. Hope that helps. Hopefully soon I will try this myself. I am curious on how it works myself. |
RE: drifting on smooth surfaces
i have tried this on a gloss finish cement are outside my house but with just normal tires and i had to overpower the wheel to get it to drift so i decided to do what real cars do and drift on wet surfaces. i got a seran wrap/ glad wrap stuff and glued it on tightly and it drifted perfectly. it wasnt as good as PVC drifting but it felt more realistic

RE: drifting on smooth surfaces
Sounds cool - I would think it is hard to get the seran wrap glued on???
