Help me DRIFT
i got a rs4 pro 2. I got a 122t spur gear and i need a good drifting setup. I have a 13t motor and a ss5800 novak brushless system. I think they to powerful to drfit with. Wuts a good turn to drift with? What would be a good spur/pinion setup to drift?

RE: Help me DRIFT
its convienent if you use that spur gear but i understand if i would need a diff one to drift with
|
RE: Help me DRIFT
Ouch, difficult to answer this one without much knowlege of the range of gearing on the Pro 2. A general area would be the low to mid range, since you're after quick responce time and not high speed. You can also change the profile on the ESC to emulate the stock class motor to be on the same level as most of the drifters, which is ideal.

RE: Help me DRIFT
could you gimme an example of the way i cna gear it?
|
RE: Help me DRIFT
dont you mean 12 t spure gear? not 122t!
|
RE: Help me DRIFT
ORIGINAL: gs-stormracer dont you mean 12 t spure gear? not 122t! As far as a recommendation, do you happen to have the manual that came with the Pro 2? Do you have a LHS? If neither of those, you can probably get an answer out of the guys in the on-road forum, since they're bound to have a Pro 2. |
RE: Help me DRIFT
lol, im drifitn though. tell me what spur/pinion set up you gusy have
|
RE: Help me DRIFT
My answer stills holds relevance, drifting does not require special gearing to accomplish. Find out what the other Pro 2 owners use so you're in the ball park, then drop it 1-2 teeth.

RE: Help me DRIFT
Cssdev the tires that you are selling off of ebay what size wheels do they fit on? Becouse, I bought some off of you and i want to now if the wheels that I want will fit.
Thanks:D |
RE: Help me DRIFT
The wheels on your car will work fine, any 52mm x 24/26mm wheels will work perfectly. I recommend using HPI Racing wheels, they're made out of sturdy material and last virturally forever.
