Drifting tips....

Ok, i have a almost 80mph NitroTC3 and a 60+ serpent and i olove drifting and i want to try it out so if anybody has tips on what setups for the ntc3 would be great. But im sure with normal rubber tires i would be able to go into prety much uncontroled drifts... o and P.S. my serpent is not a drifter (strictly racing...)

so let me get this straight...you know how to setup up your car to run 80mph(supposedly)..but you dont know how to set it up to slide sideways around a turn?..strange

RE: Drifting tips....

RE: Drifting tips....

ill get some pics and you guys arnt lissening ALMOST 80mph! probably does close to 70-75 i really never got a chance to test any higher top speed (hey! its hard to find a parking lot big enough) but back to the topic please! and no i cant get it ointo a controled drift woithout it fliping! o and i more thing gear ratios really make a diffrence (you almost have to push mine to get it goin lol

Drifting tips: don't make drifting a big deal, it's a plastic car with some minor adjustments. People act like they're hardcore dori dori with their R/C, they're not. Slap on some drift tires, peg the throttle, turn and drift. There's nothing to it, and no, I'm not being sarcastic it's that easy.

About both of your cars, no one cares really how fast they go because everyone here has more brains than a rock-in-a-wheel-barrel to know that little kids over exaggerate their speeds by about 50%. It's not just you, everyone does it because the car is so small and APPEARS to be going that much faster. If you'd like to follow up on that, I would like to see pics and video proof of your claimed speed. Have a nice day.

Talk is cheap there kid, check your spelling and grammar to come across as less of a douche. About my association with a hobby shop, you're talking to the right guy. I've worked in hobby shops for 3-4 years running, I own a hobby related business and can still tell you're swinging your little dick around trying to impress someone. Give up while you're ahead and save yourself some embarrassment, no one cares what you have, do or did.

EDIT: YOU GOT OWNED ON MY 666TH POST, LMFAO!!

RE: Drifting tips....

if you have to push the car to get going then its no good 4 drifting, with minor engine mods from rb mods, 40% fuel and some other minor things like better rear tyres and i reckon i could easily be hittin75mph without changing the gearing, put on the fusion standard gearing and ill b hittin faster than u could eva probably around 85mph, btw thats all on a xtr3e

streetracer10989 05-30-2005 02:26 PM

well if we are going by "almost"..my car "almost" does 200mph..its more like 50-60mph..but thats "almost" 200...i cant believe your acting like such a immature child...challenging people to race your rc car..haha..and you wonder why nobody wants to help you with your "drifting tips"..your hiding behind a screen talking STUFF..FOR NO REASON!!..other than the fact it makes you feel cool for a brief period of time

streetracer10989 05-30-2005 05:34 PM

It would probably work out better if you left this post, or even forum for that matter. People usually have enough respect to help someone out, but when you come on swinging your little e-***** around trying to brag about what you have no one will help you. What I mentioned earlier still stands to truth:

Drifting tips: don't make drifting a big deal, it's a plastic car with some minor adjustments. People act like they're hardcore dori dori with their R/C, they're not. Slap on some drift tires, peg the throttle, turn and drift. There's nothing to it, and no, I'm not being sarcastic it's that easy.
Instead of talking about it, be about it and give it a try. When you've actually drifted for a few hours you will understand all there is to know about it. A minor adjustment here and there to your driving style can make all the difference. So shut down AOL, pull your pants up and go play with your R/C.

RE: Drifting tips....

just to let u know i have a ld3 with a cvr.18 a cop clocked it at 71m.p.h. the ld3 is almost the same car as the ntc3 so with gears and good motor it might be possible .but it stripps out the gears after about 6 tanks .and it isnt very controllable .plus the tires ripp and go bald after about 10 tanks

cossie 06-01-2005 12:02 PM

RE: Drifting tips....

my xtr3e is like that standard, 2.1hp thru the rear wheels, with slight rb mods and mabye better tyres and slight aerodynamic mods like shell and i could easily push over 70mph espically on 40%, and with a slight weight saving mod e.g £30 carbon fibre chassis i dont think much could catch me
