start of with electric if you are on a tight budget. i recomand the tt 01 and get ball bearings. then upgrade to a brushless

how much is the radio itself? does it have to be exlusevely for tt 01? or just a tamiya radio

any radio will work...it gets pricey after a while. If you can, try up that budget...driftin isn't going away for a while so you do have some time to shop around. Even though you're starting out...don't wanna go cheapy and then want to get something better...

people say that if you have money, you should buy the tc3 rtr or the tc4rtr. heard that car is great for drift and racing.

I just bought a TT-01XB today for $109.00 it's pretty good for it's price range. It's RTR car just need to buy a charger and bettery. Put some electrical tape on the tires did some donuts and drift on a smooth pavement:D. Tried it on the regular pavement i.e. street boy the tape sucks. Time to buy drift tires or abs pipe. If I bought the abs pipe what size would it be?

Well then get the TC4 RTR from www.TowerHobbies.com its only $239 and right now they have $25 off all purchases over $149. You just have to enter ad number 010PL at checkout

That TC4 would be a good way to go. All you have to worry about is buying a battery and charger...Don't know where you're from but you can buy 2" ABS pipe and make some drift tires. I just bought a 2 ft ABS pipe for 1.79 or something like that yesterday on my lunch break. If you can spend some change, I believe Yokomo has a RTR Drift Package...I think it goes a little more over the $300 mark
