Electric or Nitro

Yes, six million people have asked this question, let's make it six million and one, I would like to know which would probide more consistant high speed drifts, I am interested in the Yokomo RTD drift S15 or the RS4 3 evo. I'm looking for decent speed in drifts and consistency, and I was also wondering what the top speed was for the Yokomo S15. :D thanks for all your help

okokok if u want that get ready to spend 475-500+ at least. 525 street i heard for the yokomo ,well both 320 for the car and 180 for kit 500 gone. as for the top speed depens on when you want it to shift but i bet it wont go more than 50 out of the box so expect 40-50 mph.
stick wit the electric if i were you cuz it has more better looking drifts then nitro. sgdrifter.com has the whole group of great drifters here check out a vid or 2

I agree with gogita...have you ever had a nitro RC car before? It can be a pain in the rear.

Oh wow that's slower than I thought, do you know the top end on a rtr tt-01? because I may just get a tt-01 with the s15 body put some abs and upgrade to a 27t somewhere down the line, what would you guys suggest? Yokomo drift electric or tt-01 with ABS

who cares about top end....

This is drifting not racing.

I thought for drifting, you need bottom end torque = electric

Sorry for the double post, I have narrowed the field somewhat and I'm know contemplating between the Yokomo drift car (electric) or the rtr tt-01 with some ABS which do you think would be better and more fun?:)

RE: Electric or Nitro

rtr tt-01 i think beacuse its your car and you can do more things to it. and if you want to race with it. put back the original tires and you go.and the drifting kit u build.i hate building but thats me.the tt01 is ready to run and u get abs b4 you get the car then you get a battery ready. then automatically put it out on the road. you wont go that fast with abs. since all you are doing is slipping with controll:D. for those high speed drifts try thr yokomo tires and rings. but pvc is better than abd and yokomo tires i think.
most people from sgdrifters.com. has the tt-01 make me wanna get it. and cheaper:D

Well the yokomo drift car comes rtd so I won't have to assemble anything, just charge and place decals, does anyone know the top speed of the rtr tt-01?

gogita502 08-25-2005 11:32 PM

RE: Electric or Nitro

well the rtd is i think 100 more then the kit.i no its a wellet smasher. and the top speed for the tt01 XB is i think 18 mph not much but enough 4 drifting
