Is this a good drifter?

Make sure it's 4WD. And if you're a beginner, you might want it RTR. As you can see, that's a kit. You'll need to get...

Radio: 2-channel with 2 standard servos
Radio Batteries: 8 AA size
Battery: 6 flat pack with standard connector
Charger: AC/DC timed or peak for 6-cell battery
Paint: paint for the lexan body

If you don't really know anything about that, try this.

This comes with everything you need aside from the battery and battery charger, and batteries for the radio.

I realize that is a kit and don't really care because I have everything you need except paint. Please suggest others. Thank you.

he has that stuff... havent you read the thread?

hmm... me, i would go with the t-spec

its kinda what i wished i would have gone with... its got alot of nice stuff (ie the fully adjustable caster and camber, oil shocks, ball bearings, and ball diffs...) that you cant get on chassis in its price range...

a tt-01 is a nice cheap car, but if you got all the junk to drop in it allready, definitely go with the t-spec

if your looking to get in mondo cheap, you can go to rcmart.com...

there selling old puget Tl-01's for like 60 bucks.. its outrageous... im getting one for my brother for christmas... comes with an esc and everthing...

some people think that tl-01s are a great drifting car, 4wd horizontal batterys (not lopsided weight wise)

but if your looking for something that will be nice, once again go with the t-spec

What's your budget first?

My 1st choice wouldn't be a Tamiya to be honest, the TA03F Pro is good if you can find one (I have one), if I had the money I'd get a Losi JRXS [8D], I find my old Losi Street Weapon is fantastic (better than my TA03F Pro, and a lot better than my Associated TC3 team)

Another car I'd choose is the old HPI Pro3

well I have a decent sized budget but want to keep the cost down as I am buying an RC10GT in the summer and don't have a job.

Name price. EX: $300USD - $400USD.

We don't know what "decent sized" is in your terms.

RE: Is this a good drifter?

well i live in canada so the prices are different! i can get a rc10gt for about 360 canadian and have over 500 canadian. i would still like to buy a seperate esc not just use the one from my rustler so that has to fit in there as well but the radio is nothing to worry about because i have a spare one.

RE: Is this a good drifter?

sounds to me like u should get a duratrax intellispeed esc. I think you should also look on Ebay. I found an awesome deal for my tc3 on there. I just ordered it about 3 days ago and hopefully it will be here by Christmas. I got the TC3, a chrysler body, tires wheels, novak xxl receiver, airtronics basic servo, tekin speed star esc 10 turn motor limit, sanyo 2000mah nicd battery sxs, and a 27 turn motor all for $83 and thats with shipping. Im guessing ur not going to be racing like I am so if I were you I would just look for a tl-01 on Ebay. Oh yeah good luck with the RC10GT. I wish I could get my Revo running right but have to get a new motor for it.

RE: Is this a good drifter?

yeah i got the best of both worlds, got my t-spec, but not only that, i got it for 75 bucks off of ebay, haha. Then i got a tq3 radio for 10 bucks from a friend, and an intellispeed esc, and a bunch of other stuff, for about half the price it would've been on websites.
