yep... or, if you really want to do it well, get a set of rims, and some abs... if you dont mind switching them out

so if i tape tghe tires do i tape all 4 or the back ones
and how fast should you be going into a turn to drift |
RE: can you drift a rs4 evo with out the conversion kit
tape all 4, and speed is relative to the amount of traction you have - otherwise you crash
ABS/PE tyres last MUCH longer than tape and are far more predictable too ;) |

I used to drift my Evo. I was using ABS pipe 'tires'. The tough part is balancing the weight. The back right side is going to lose traction faster than the front left, so I used shock angles and mount positions to try to compensate. (Vertical shocks are softer, outside mounting positions are softer). I also switched back to the stock tuned pipe to lose some weight on the right side. I also threw on an RS4 1-speed tranny, just to avoid dealing with the shift point. It'll work with the right setup. I smoked my buddies XXX-S round the concrete island. Nitro drifting rocks, I prefer coming into the corner sideways and doing 25 to a granny doughnut around a coke can.
