Hmm this could be bad.
 

So Im in the process of building my TT01D kit, and it should be ready here in a little while. This is where it gets to be iffy. I kinda "fell into" a Novak Brushless 6.5R system last night and installed it on the kit. I already know the motor and ESC are going to eat this car up. I kept the 540 of course in case I need to switch back. The GTB ESC can be programmed to run a bit less aggressively, so I may try that. I dont know if anyone has tried to run a brushless system on this chassis before, but if you have can you tell me if it works? I mean I dont want to take this brushless out of it, but if I have to in order to drift the chassis, I will. Thats what I bought it for, drifting. Any help would be appreciated.

since the tt-01d has ball bearings your drivetrain should be mostly okay. but if im not mistaken the D version doesnt have an aluminum driveshaft so that plastic one at high speeds will warp.

You will need to make sure your running a 25T pinion and a 55 Spur to Avoid Burning the motor out and it will no longer be suitable for Drift but for Racing.
Brushless is Way too much over kill for Drift.
We Recommend no lower then a 17x2T for Drifting purposes with a Tamiya Sports Tuned OR a 19x2T as the Ideal Combo on the Stock Spur..

doesnt much matter right now anyway. While building the dampers I succeeded in ruining/losing 4 e-clips, so I have to run to the hobby shop and get more. The car is a breeze to build right up until you hit this part. Its such a pain in the rear to get those things on and seated correctly.
