Advantages of Diff Locking and BB's?
Well, I'm heading out to my LHS later today, and I know for sure I'm getting myself ball bearings for my 4-tec, but what advantages do I get vs the standard bushings? Also, what are the advantages of locking the diffs?
Also, any ideas on why my 4-tec doesn't turn very effective when I'm at full speed? Would the reactive caster wedges and sway bars improve high speed steering? P.S. Electrical tape on the tires work GREAT =D. Thanks! |
RE: Advantages of Diff Locking and BB's?
on the bushing vs bearing question:Bushing dont last so long. Bearings keep all the dirt out of it and last very long

RE: Advantages of Diff Locking and BB's?
ball bearings allow smoother running, they dont wear out like bushings, increased top speed, less friction, and a few other things. its a necessity in any drifter. locking your rear diff allows the rear to slide out easier. its really preference. its not necessary to lock the diff but will help in intiating drifts and holding them as both rear wheels are getting the same amount of power.
