JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 MODS and R32 Body! WORKLOG
Well here's the stuff I ordered. Just some mods and the works. I installed all the aluminum parts in the rear but haven't done anything else because one of the mounting holes for the steering on the tub of the chassis got completely destroyed after I jumped my car a couple times [>:] Well I will order a new tub and show pictures then and give you guys a review on the GPM's. I also will try to paint my R32 body tomorrow.

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 Mods came!
You should have ordered a new TT01 so the parts can look even better.
Cool |
RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 Mods came!
Why would I do that? I have a tt-01d so buying another tt-01 is a big waste in money.. I can buy new chassis parts and keep my drivetrain and that would be cheap but why bother? It will get messed up again anyway! The bottom of the chassis scraps the ground with the soft shocks I have.

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 Mods came!
I have heard some of the GPM parts can be Dodgey but I will find out from your experince as to if it is true or not...

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 Mods came!
I installed GPM on the rear and they fit perfectly. The parts are also very light considering they are aluminum so there isn't much of a weight difference. At first I wasn't going to buy them until one of my front uprights snaped..

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 MODS! WORKLOG
Mostly. It only sucks when I drop parts and they roll under the dryer [>:] lol

Here's some more of my progress. I put it all together already but I didn't recieve my new tub yet so the steering linkages are still on hold. I also atached my Tamiya two piece rims to abs.

Now I am stripping the nasty looking black enamel off using rubbing alcohol and bleach and I'm giving it a good 24 hours to soak.

That's right. The black enamel turned out nasty so i'm gunna go out sometime to the hobby store and get Tamiya TS paint.

Looks good, but IMO it's a waste of money. Could've gotten a better chassis for all the money invested.

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 MODS! WORKLOG
I could have but I didn't ;) I don't need anything to fancy for drifting BTW and I just bought aluminum parts because they are more reliable.

Aluminum parts tweak, meaning permanent changes to suspension geometry. It you kept using plastic parts, you can just replace them.

RE: JDM_DRIFTER'S TT-01 MODS! WORKLOG
Replacing plastic parts aren't acually cheap.. I had to replace a plastic upright but doing so means that it will come with the whole set of parts.. Parts I don't need and the price comes out to $8 and I only needed one part! That's why I bought aluminum and I don't see any problems.

Looking good. You should have eliminated as much of the wiring as you could have tho, when you installed eans.
