MR-4tc vs. TT-01!! help needed!
 

Hey, I was about to get the tt-01d for a 100$. There is a guy here selling his Yokomo MR-4TC for about 75$!!! How is it for drifting Vs. the TT?! And how much should an ESC and motor cost me?!

it will be a great drifter,although,you really have to watch the belts,as they are prone do getting debris in them. might want to pick up a few spare belts,because one small rock,or debris,can ruin your driffting day.
in honesty,the TT-01 is a tougher built chassis,and will be more resiliant in the long run,and easier to get parts for if you do break something. it's your call.
then again,i am a tamiya fan..................

This guy is selling it with some spare parts. Including belts (all spares are NIB)

I think I'll go with the Yokomo. It looks great and I really like it :D A friend will give me a ESC and I'll get a 23 turn motor, 3000 Mah battery packs and a charger.

just get the tt-o1 because after all the stuff you need to add to the yokomo after the 75$ will be much more than the tto1 for 100$

ESC is free. I'm getting one from a friend.
and some proline rims for 10$

so its about the same. I relly donno wich one to get :p The yoko might need some work on it after driving 'cos of the belts and stuff and with the tt i can just charge and drive. Some one who had both of them told me that he doesn't feel any diffrence in the preformnce of the two cars. exept that he always needed to get parts for the yoko, unlike the tt.

I really don't know wich one to get. Plz help me guys!

I really enjoy spending my time drifting instead of fixing my car and replacing parts. I thought about replacing my TT at one time for the adjustable suspension on the Yokomo, but I decided against it because I wouldn't be able to figure out what setting is best anyway. I just don't have the patience for trial and error. So, I say go with the TT.

TT-01.. Parts are Cheaper, Support is Better and Being a Shafty, No Rock Damage...

TT-01's are easier to service..

I have the MR-4TC chasis. That being said, go with the TT-O1. In the LOOOOOONG run, it's less hassle. Yok has very little Hobby shop support (seemingly in the midwest and eastcoast of USA), meaning, their parts for that chasis are rarely carried. So, you usually have to order stuff online. I saw you said you live in Isreal. Well, that means you'd be ordering from their Japanese site, so I hope you read it. You could order from Yokomousa.com, but I don't know how shipping would work. Also, Yok parts aren't very interchangeable. Say you need something like a screw or arm piece or...I don't know, almost anything. It HAS to be Yokomo. Yes, even the screws. Either that or you have to be a good fabricator because, unlike the TT01, ONLY Yok parts fit Yokomo chasis.

Secondly, drifting is a intense sport. it puts wear on the car, so you will have to replace something at some point. Don't get me wrong, I love my Yok. but, to be honest, If I had to do it all over again, i would've went with a more universally accepted chasis. Sure, in my circle I have bragging rights, but what good is that when somethign pops loose and it takes me 3-5 business days to replace it.

Just some things to thing about.

Well, after asking this in many drift sites, I got to the same answers. I gues I'll go ahead with the TT :) Are there any crutial spare prats I'll need for it?

Crucial Spares are needed for all rc Cars

like Spurs and pinions but they take a little while to go wrong if the car is set up correctly, the TT-01 is a very sturdy chassis.

Essential Up grades are Alloy prop shaft and Ball bearings as the plastic bushes wont last long under drifting conditions..

I'm relly likin' the yok. I think I'll go with it 'cos I have a small shoping mall neer my house so stones going in the blets isn't really an issue :D

Stones are on Carparks.. It only takes one the Size of the Average Tic-Tac to mess up a belt

well,i noticed something very frightening in your initial posts,and that is......cost between the 2 cars yokomo vs. TT-01. when you break a part on that yokomo,you will be down for a while,and, if the $25-$30 difference in cost,between the 2 cars,has you tossing and turning in your sleep,i got sad news for you pal,you are already in the wrong hobby.......................[sm=greedy.gif]

Then listen to reason and Veteran Drifters and go the TT-01..

Slap a Yokomo Shell on the TT-01 and drift happily knowing you can get Cheap parts and no pebble hassles

I'm guess I'll get the tt then. The reason for my long break from rc was a resolt of constenet maintnce of my cars. Hopfully, with the TT, I'll be able to avoide that :D

Seriously though, when it comes to asking questions and not getting the answers you are hoping you will get and then hearing negative comments about one of your choices can come across wrong at times. good choice with the tt-01 but Like I said in a few of my other posts if you want to go big GO BIG. It shows them what kinda $$$ you got and what you can do;). Seriously you dont have to listen to us get the yokie if you want. ITS PERSONAL PREFERENCE FOLKS

I love them so much I have 2 !
