Hey guys how ya doin... I am new to the forum but F150Dan was telling me about all the fun you guys have on here... Neways here is my drift car... A TC3 factory team with a AE86 Tureno body from yokomo... In the pics it is on PVC but as we soon found out it is very slow and spins alooottt.. So it now runs on ABS..

Ok, The Reason why you span alot on PVC is because it requires a certian technique to Slide properly on, You cant just Nail the Throttle , turn the steering wheel and expect to slide..

I love the Paint Job, Looks Awesome..

Hope to see a Vid of your Sliding soon.

Speed is not the Key to Drift, Torque is...

You need the Torque to Break the Traction to Start the Slide...

With PVC, Try a half throttle, Flick the steering then pulse the throttle between full on and half off whilst doing the same with the Steering..

You will soon learn your own technique and cars handling limits...

thats cool im waiting on my f.t tc4 to come -should be here in 3days--im thinking about a hpi greddy 350z body and some yokomo deepdish wheels and the d1 drift rings or go and bling it out with the proline charger body-with the 24series rims w/0 spinners or i just might and get some 2.5in abs and make it fit---ill have style and function---ill send pics when done

Sweett... Thanks

Man i am about to loose my turn signal...lol Poor BODY has seen better days But it is just JDM like that...

Magnat... Yea i know.. I quickly learned this!!! The PVC is a little much tho... I actually like to do more of a speed drift it just looks more realistic while the PVC will allow you to "hang it out" more, the ABS allows you to "hang it out" when you whip it at high speeds or when you romp on the trigger at low speeds... BTW thanks for the comment on my paint job... Some peeps like the pink some dont... I just like it because it is bright so i can see it and because it is something diffrent..

I will try to get f150dan or somebody to do a video of us drifting... I wish there was some contest around my area for drifting!!! dang it... lol

Nice to see another TC3 drifter around. Car looks good. Personally dont like the pink, But i do agree it'd be easier to see.

What chassis is your buddy running on?

RE: TC3 DRIFTER WITH PICS!!!

It was either a TT-01 or the Himoto (or whatever you call it.) He has both and they look similar except for the body. I just forget which one that was. I'm running a TC3 now too.;)

RE: TC3 DRIFTER WITH PICS!!!

Nice. I love mine..

Any set-up tip's? Im trying to drift on the stock Proline V's. brushed concrete, I can, But on asphault, Too much traction to carry out anything good.

You got your rear diff locked? What shock mount, and tie rod end holes you using? How about camber, and toe settings?

RE: TC3 DRIFTER WITH PICS!!!

I'm still trying to dial mine in right now, so maybe Wallnut will step in and help with this one. But anyway, right now I'm running 0 camber all around, 0 toe in the rear, and 1 degree in the front. I am also running AE blue springs all around with 60wt oil. My front diff is tighened down pretty good, but it will still give a little. I did that in hope that it would help keep the front from pushing so bad and help pull it around the corners. I tighten down the rear diff though. It is almost locked.

I will get a more detailed description of my setup tomorrow, but like I said, I'm still trying to get it dialed in and drifting the way I like it. Once I find something that works good, I will let you know.;)
