Well, that car will drift out of the box on smooth/treated pavement (ie garage). It could still possibly drift on regular asphalt, but it would probably need a lot of beef. So just get yourself some ABS tires and you're ready to drift almost anywhere.

no motor is to fast, but u need alu shaft, bearing kit and sum abs tyers,
that is all you need, on this site people have different thought and im sure as you get into drifting you wont want to tour your car...lol
good choice with the tt01 by the way.

RE: Can i do this???

TT -01 D does need the Alloy Prop shaft and I think an ESC aswell.. The Tamiya Sports Tuned motor with the TT-01D is a Champion of a motor Ideally suited to drift..

With Drift Motors, Look at Double Winds Over a Single wind.

a 17x2T is fine for drift as it has a Wider Torque Range..

I have Drifted a Team Orion Method R 15x2T and it is bordering on being too fast for Drift although it does do some rather nice 20 foot slides...

Motors that have Between 19000rpm and 30000rpm So Usually 23T -17x2T are considered safe for Drifting
