i need a basic list of everyhting i will need for my ntc3 to drift, aside from ABS tires, what other things can i do, im in alittle troulble im supposed to be running the drift series at my work in 3 months i get a full free car and what ever else i need to gett the program going any suggestions welcome except for tell me to sell the ntc3 and buy another car.

just hpi hard compound drift tires is all you will need.

well i was also thinking about some gear ratios, and i also have an 0s .12 tz s tuned and a .12 os tz eb mods. but those arent really torque engines or i can use a 18 tz eb mods i have and pull a compression ring off.

well... as everyone will probably tell you this. driftin isnt about speed , its all in control. and to have control, you need just the right amount of torque. so If I had to pick without doin research I would go with dat 18 or the 12 mods

wow, even with the stock set up its easy to pull some decent drifts, just some electrical tape on tires to test while i was braking it in, must admit easier then it seems and way easier then my electric for drift + the smoke looks to cool. haha

There is Two Different Styles of Drift, Broad, or Technical..

Nitro has Great difficulty pulling off the Technical Drift its Electric Cousins can do..

Broad Drift is achievable and Any Nitro motor will do. from a .12 through to .25..
Hard Compound Tyres is all that is needed

now jw, will the yokomo ae86 sprinter body fit a nitro?

yokomo bodies are 190mm. Any body that you want to fit on a nitro must be 200mm

i know that but thanks, but on tower it says on specs its 200mm but thanks for clearing that up any ideas for bodies im open to anything, im just gonna use my saleen mustang body right now for practice and what ever body i get im going to airbrush and make some cool ass scheme, but yea i really would like to find a datsun or toyota body like a 70s 240z or 280, 510 what ever or a trueno or somehitng of that matter

most of those choices are 190mm check www.hpiracing.com for their 200 mm bodies

Yes unfortunately it is true.. All the really good classic Drift Shells are 190mm

Another reason to go electric lol

ABC Hobby's do a 240Z or 280Z but only in 190mm

well mad some advancements, got a imperza body, 26mm black te37 26mm super drift radials, and i found out the conversion to electric suspension will only be 30 to 50 bucks, and for the coolest hing drifting is about torque right? how about an os 4 stroke for onroad for 100 bucks wth carb and exhaust from my boss, coming out of his revo.

Torque Is what you need for those righ revs through the drifts.

thats it for now bone stock i jsut did a fast paint job on it, its a beater body.

well my super radial drift are almost burnt up so i tried pvc, awesome to drift with, if u like going 5 miles an hour and have no steering or brakes haha

Thats where Technical drift happens.. low speed.. and no control if you can master this your on your way to being a drift Pro!

well i cant say i have mastered it but with some mods to the abs i did, i can get some speed out of corner, and the technical drifts are a breeze, just gotta think out of the box on set up and mods to the abs tires.

just add some elctrical tape to the abs it will havea little more grip dut yet slide around
