i would go for the TC3 from that list, mostly because there are soooo many cool hop ups for them.
i own a TC3 and they are a super drift car and they are also top class touring cars

hey m8,

i would say if you are willing to spend that sort of money, get a car that ismade for the job, not the TT01 or the TC3, get the yokomo,

TC3. the tt01 is gettin on my nerves. One hell of a drifter, dont get me wrong. But someones gotta be different from the rest of us. TC3. Im gettin a ta04 after christmas. Dont ask why if you dont like the car,Its my personal preference.

Well the reason alot of people reccomend the tt-01 ios for people on a really tight budget. Becuase youve got a little extra cash definetly go with the TC-3. Of those cars it will be the best drifter.

I agree. and my budget is on a rise, so im lookn for another drifter besides another tt01. I kinda want them to have their own pros and cons on the street

I love the tc4 I just can't find a place other than ebay that has them in stock.

lol anything but what we experts recommend you. I love the tt01 but that all people swear about here

The Yok is BUILT for it. But because you're not in Japan or California, I wouldn't suggest it. Parts are hard to find and they're not interchangeable with anything else. But, that's the one out of the box I'd choose (from your list). Matter fact, that's the FIRST one I got. Now though, I have a TC4... and the Yok. I drift'em both and they're both good.

RE: best RC car for Drifting

I had the TC3. The thing rocked. Actually, it drifted better than my SSG - probably because I put more time into setting it up and I've had it the longest. I don't think you can buy the TC3 new anymore. Go buy the TC4. But if you're short on cash, I'd get a used Factory Team TC3 on rctech.net Those are dirt cheap over there.

I own a TT-01 and am loving it.
The Yokomo's are very good, just expensive.

out of your list, i'd go with the YOK. You don't like TA05s or TB02s? those are affordable ha.

I Have to say the TC3 or TC4 is the way to go..

If not look at the HPI Sprint 2 as another viable option

RE: best RC car for Drifting

just for £33 more you can get a Yokomo RTD with a body of a skyline blitz or this one other car , look at modelsport.co.uk since your money is in United Kingdom Pounds. its atleast $450 in US dollars so i can't afford that im sure you can. Yokomo is the way to go if you have that much money.

RE: best RC car for Drifting

wow
Yokomo?
lets be honest, how many people have driven a yoke in here?
Yokes are good, IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO MAINTAIN THEM
i ran a DP for about a year, total parts cost for that year to keep my car running:
$500+ on,
knuckles
kingpins
bearings
spur gears
drive shaft
screws
& the list goes on and on

TC3 is a good choice, but with the TC4 out and the TC5 coming out soon, your prolly gonna have a bit of a challenge with that one
I would say maybe a HPI Sprint 2 or a Tamiya Tao5, both cars are cheap, durable and have great aftermarket support
personally for me, Sprint 2, car is easy to work on and is incredibly durable, what more can you ask for out of a drift car?

RE: best RC car for Drifting

like randy said the sprint 2 is a great deal, easy to maintain with everything you need all in 1 package...for a very good price might i add

RE: best RC car for Drifting

Lets face it, the three cars you guys are talking about (TT01, tc3,4, or yokomo) are all set up exactly the same way!!! Theres no way that the Yokomo is worth all that extra money!! What makes Yokomo built to drift over the other two, the drift body???
I've got a tt01 for drifting and it works absolutly great!!! The whole secret to getting any car to drift is having the right tires and good throttle control.
Why spend all the extra money on a Yokomo when you can have just as much fun with the Tamiya Dspec TT01 for 134.99 with ESC and sport tuned motor.

Also stay away from the sprint 2!! definatly a great looking car and the right price, but a friend of mine bought one to drift with and he spent more time getting little stones out of his belt. after a few stones he actually had to replace the Kevlar belt.
