hi well ide say that the tt-01 has a distinct tubtype chasis not that often used in rc drifting and if u own one you start to notice liitle things that other cars dont have (sorry this is not much help):D

Please Tell me that was Sarcasm......if not then

Dude.. Major Mis statement of the Year

Your Correct..
TT-01 is a Tub Chassis that IS used very well in rc drifting.
It is one of the Best Budget Drifting Chassis on the market..

http://www.tamiyaeurocup.co.uk/cars/...ssis/TT-01.jpg
It Features a Centre Plastic Driveshaft AWD System with Planatary Geared Diffs at each end, Depending on what model You choose.. Will Come with Either a Silver Can 27T Johnson Motor with TEU-101 BK ESC or it will come with a Tamiya Sports Tuned Motor with TEU 101BK ESC.

Stock, Very impressive Drift capabilities, it does suffer from one way Turn Bias due to the way the chassis is set up with the Battery on one side and the Servo,Reciever, ESC and Motor on one side (An attempt by tamiya to make the chassis evenly weighted but a Battery always weigh more)
Locking the Rear Diff can cure this problem ,but then it wont do race work as well as it does stock..

I own Two TT-01's and They Both have the Essential upgrades of Alloy Propshaft and Ball Bearing Kit that replaces the plastic Bushes it uses stock..
My Race Version has the added Mods of Oil Filled Shocks, Alloy Motor mount and is currently running a 10T motor..

Whilst the TT-01 is not the BEST Chassis on the market it is very hard to beat as far as Value for money goes..

a TT-01 is a Step in the Right Direction. It is Strong,Easy to build, Easy to maintain and a pleasure to drift and race..

RE: what is the difference between....

Locking the rear diff:
I filled my rear diff with SHELL SRS 4000 multipurpose grease...
Its high quality. (and probably not intended for RC use:D)
But it works better than I expected...
It does not totally lock the diff, but rather gives it a kind of LSD.
and it shure made my drifting a lot better....
(now i just have to buy some real drift tyres, I'm all out of electric tape.....[:-])

BTW: I'm running a TT01 calsonic skyline XB-built
