1/18 vs 1/10
What are the pros and cons of each size for drifting? I am trying to decide between a TT-01 and a Micro RS4. Thank you for any info.

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
Stick with 1/10th.

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
I've never drifted 1/18 but I imagine it would b require faster reaction times because that little car would just whip around. i know its not impossible because a lot of people do it.

More feeling in a TT-01 then a Micro..

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
^^^Totaly agree, even cheapo nikkos drift like a micro (HAHAHA THAT RHYMES)
|
RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
1/10: realistic slides.
18th scale: cool if you live in a box and have a little room to drift. I guess drifting on cardboard is cool if you live in a box. Seriously though, 18th are fun and fast. Have you guys seen the 18R??? Yea, tenth scale is easier to drift and work onnb'l,;. |

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
1/18th Drift is cool if it is too wet to Drift the 1:10th out side but it doesnt feel the same...
an Xmod on Polished Floor boards is way cool.. |

xmods are cool if you're a small guy

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
I have never owned a vehicle capable of drifting, I just got two RC18R's and these are the funnest cars I have EVER owned. Very realistic.
WRX is my basher, EVO my show car. |
RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
I'm actually leaning a little more towards the micro here because with a homemade pack it can have around 2 hours of runtime and the fact that you can run it indoors. I know that 1/10 seems easier, but indoor running and huge runtimes have me won over.

RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
Explain huge run times?
|
RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
mybe think of an 1:22 ?In places like garages it's fun to drift with little thingies
:D |
RE: 1/18 vs 1/10
In the last issue of rc car action, the had an article on Micro RS4 drifting in the HPI office. They said that the HPI guys used 2500 mah rechargable AA batteries and made them into a battery pack with copper braid as battery bars. Those batteries gave runtimes of over 2 hours, according to the article.
