Drift tyre idea

gonna try heavy duty 1mm thick heatshrink which as it shrinks gets thicker , gonna try it but use two layers of it , i reckon it will take the form of the wheel well and reduce surface area of the wheel contact point but give just about enough grip to drift as its like a hard rubber compound once its shrunk, has anybody tried this or has anybody any thoughts on it , let me know :D

any update? Great outside of the box thinking.

another option would be to use tape to even out the wheel, or just dremel down the ribs, and then shrink wrap.
