Rubber Fronts and Plastic Rears?

I've been drifting in my tiled kitchen with my Micro RS4 with all 4 tires taped (I haven't gotten around to getting plastics) and found that I had to be going nearly full throttle then turning sharply to get the car sliding just a little. But I was running outside and couldn't get any sideways action, so I just drove around with taped tires. The car wasn't turning very well, but wasn't sliding, so I started taking off the tape. I decided to leave the tape on the rears, just for fun. And WOW! It was easy to initiate slides going half throttle with the stock motor. So my question to you is: have any of you tried drifting with regular rubber slicks or radials up front with drift tires in the back and has anyone found results similar to mine?

Oh my friend has a 1/18th micro rs4 but don't it come with drift tires? or did you buy the kit one?

Nevermind, it probably wont work very well, I couldn't hold the drift very well; I guess I got lucky last time. And the Micro RS4 Drift comes with drift tires, but the Sport and the kit don't. I think I'll just go out and buy some ABS pipe.:)

drifting dynamics change according to scale. I've tried it and it's a no-go.

it aint guna work. All ur guna acomplish is to have teh car spin out. Ive tried it so trust me. I took off the belt n tried to drift 2wd...(stupid move) he only thing that ive found that actually works is the black 35mm film canisters http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5xeSDu.../g00155_03.jpg Cut them to size n try it out. Its worked good for me on the stock motor n all. All i had to do was sand down the lil ridges on the rim. do that because it end up giving u a smoother ride. if not its all choppy n $#!+.
