Not really AussieTroll as He has just ordered me an E-10 !!!!!

Apparently the E-10 comes with an R32 Shell so he took the liberty of ordering me one With a Lamborghini shell ! so we can remain Drift Buddies..

YEAH !!!

From what I've read so far the E-10 is meant to compete with the TT-01 as an entry level sport chasis thats pre-assembled (which means you get to check everything over to make sure all the screws are tight because there is no way you can rely on a factory that churns out 1000's of these to get every one right). Will be interesting to see how it compares. From looking at the pics and info around the main hopups your going to need straight away is an alloy prop shaft and oil dampers. It looks like HPI learned a few things by going with a shaft though which is good ;)

Would be good if you posted a review of the chasis when you get it and compare it to the likes of the old Sprint2, TT-01 and some other non Tamiya chasis like the TC4 or MR-4TC's.

I think I'll sell of my Sprint2 before parts availability here kills its value :P

I'm more than happy to part with mine since it sits in the spare room on the shelf doing nothing. :)

What i heard is that the E-10 should be tougher then the TT-01,

That will be Really togh then:)

fl0PPsy 03-16-2007 06:07 AM

RE: Sad Day: The End of the Sprint 2 in AUS

Tougher? If you look at the pics on the HPI site it looks like it has a plastic prop shaft. Cant see that being much thougher but hopefully someone will review one soon so we know for sure :)

RE: Sad Day: The End of the Sprint 2 in AUS

lets be honest, you need a chassis that wont tweak...[>:]

a tt-01 by tamiya standards is limited to a 11turn and no lower, although it has been done, i have no heard of this new e-10 so a link please..

i will put it down to being able to handle more power, toe adjustability, camber alighment, chassis layout for esc and batterys, is it able to take lipo??... stck packs only??... or cells??.. these are important if its to beat a tt-01,

how much they?... and are they brca legal in the drift series this year??...

crash-alot

No one truely knows these answers yet as most Hobby stores down here havent even heard of the E10 yet, let alone seen one..

I got my LHS to look into the E10 after I read about it on my friend Genki's web shop.

So my LHS did some digging and got sent out a pamphlet on it only to be told they have deleted the Sprint 2 but wont bring in the E10 till after the Toy Trade show..
which is next weekend and by the time they sort out order numbers and delivery of the E10 you can expect a 2 week delay.

The E10 is a direct attack on the TT-01,It is not a Sprint 2 replacement but a New Entry Level Chassis.
Once You see it you will immediately think " OMG Its a HPI TT-01"
The E10 has a few tweaks and advantages over the TT-01 but no one is sure exactly what they will be..

Magnat has ordered Me a Lambo E10 and himself the Skyline R32, the first time HPI has offered an R32 it comes Pre Painted and we are hoping the mounting poles will be the same so Magnats Huge Shell collection doesnt go to waste..

I think it's funny that HPI is located here in California, but the E10 is only listed on the European website. Is RC more popular over there than it is over here?

The E10 is not a direct attack at anything, it's just another competitor, like every other chassis out on the market.

Pre-painted FTL.

RE: Sad Day: The End of the Sprint 2 in AUS

Dudes, you all in love with Magnat or something, the dude knows a bit but I aint seen him come up at any comps with the numbers and I aint seen any vid of the guy in full flow, wheres it at?
Thank god the Sprint 2 has finally been stopped then perhaps the Sprint 2 battering will stop,I drifted a sprint 2 the other day, it wasn't mine and it wasnt set up for me, it wasnt too bad but I wouldnt go all out on it, my TA05 felt better and a TA03f would eat it and just about any other chassis.

Just one final rant on this thread and it applys to a lot of others,

A.U.S.O, stop all this told Magnat this, spoke to Magnat about that like he is some sort of Drift god, you aint got to be Einstein to work out that YOU ARE MAGNAT and although you like the sound of your own voice on here you are like a mouse in the big boys forum, are you even a member of AUSDrift?

Rant over, peace;)

RE: Sad Day: The End of the Sprint 2 in AUS

Congrates to C9ev

Someone was going to finally put 2+2 together..

I can't keep the charade going for ever..

Yes You are 100% correct..
I have not won any major RC Drift Titles as on my side of the Globe, the D1 RC Series has not hit yet, It is on one Side over 8000 kilometres away but who has that much money to fly over to compete in something that lasts just 2 days..
Yes You are Correct, I am Very quiet on the Big Boy forums as I am usually busy running my own.
Yes Your TA-03 will Out Drift any other chassis hence why it is now considered illegal to use in some drift comps..

I just offer the help on here to those who need it or want it, I am no Drift god and never claimed to be..
I have how ever done a lot for rc drift in my area and will continue to Ghetto slide till the cows come home...
