Diff locking...(yet again)
Sorry to ask this, i know we get a diff locking post like every day but i havent found my answer yet... running a 27t in a tt-01R chassis, Should i partial lock full lock and which ones, front lock rear free or other way etc...... Thanks in advance.
1989-SHO P.S What is the best reversable way to lock, clay blue tac silicone hot glue etc...? thanks |
RE: Diff locking...(yet again)
Probably a full locked rear and a partial lock front. I have ball diffs, so its pretty easy for me to unlock my diffs, since all i hafta do is loosen my diff screws. Since TT01 have gear diffs, im not sure if there is a good way to reverse easily without taking out the diff.

RE: Diff locking...(yet again)
Yeah. for a tt, i'd just do a full lock on the rear. I THINK u have to use "lock-tight" or something like that cuz it's gears. But, locking diffs is fully optional. I drifted just fine for like 6 or 7 months b4 locking my rear diff. And the only reason i did it is because a friend of mine was waiting on a part for his 1:1 car, had nothing to work on, and starting tinkering with my RC and i just didn't feel like undoing it. ( all it is is a screw and a pipecleaner). I unlocked it later and just re-locked it so I could use the pipecleaner as a mod for universal exhaust. it helps, but it's not needed.
