RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
My suggestion would be to pick up a cheap new or secondhand Tamiya TT-01 chassis for a start and see how it goes, you will always have to buy charger, batts, radio gear, esc, motor, shells, tyres whatever chassis you run so maybe try to find a cheap package deal on E-Bay, if you like drifting then you can sell the TT-01 chassis and keep the rest in a few months and buy something a bit better, I started with a £35 Tamiya TL-01 package.
If you dont like it then you can sell the whole lot and not lose too much money, you can pick up a new TT-01 with shell and light kit on E-Bay for about 60 quid, as for the charger and the rest, the sky is the limit;) BTW are you from Sutton Cambs? |

BTW i would like to fit the yokomo soarer body on to this kit as my cousin has a 1:1 version so a suitable chasis would help.

RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
I see not much has changed around here since I left drifting! Looks like TT-01 is still a favorite! Long live Tamiya drifting!

RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
i would go with yokomo..... but u need to know where can u get back up parts for the your gonna get if u brake anything. i would choose yokomo but if their isnt any back up parts then get the tamaya either way..... plus yokomo comes with tires, chassis, and
body but you would need radio gear, motor,esc,charger,paint,battery...... i say a yokomo is a better buy.... |
RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
Yokomo is over priced though.. Tamiya is a better buy if your on a budget..

RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
Yokomo is a better car all round, but you pay for it.
And it's no good to this guy either, he is from good ol' GB. He will be scratching his head for spares support. Tamiya is the best way to get you started. Chris. |
RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
I was gonna say pretty much what C.A.R. said. Yokomo is better, but it cost ya.
|
RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
i still would buy a yokomo but where he lives that sucks no spare parts..... hey dude do u have a (LHS) local hobby store? and what brands do they carry, and what type of car?
|
RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?

|
RE: Which Drifter Should I Choose ?
