TT-01
Hi everyone!!! I'm new here and I was going to get a TT-01 as a summer hobby... http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/315324.asp but then from ebay so it is cheaper. I am a beginner at drifting also so I wanted to expert advice on what to get and where to build this car into a drifter... if you have any suggestions then i could pretty much use all of them since i know nothing about this...

RE: TT-01
If you're getting a TT-01 then to make it into a drifter you will need to get...
the ball bearing set, aluminium propeller shaft, aluminium motor mount, oil filled shocks, ball diffs, adjustable turnbuckles and ABS tires. After you have bought all of these items then you will need to setup your car. 0 deree camber all round for ABS tires, 1 dgree toe-in at the rear, soft springs at the front, soft/medium springs at the rear, fully tighten the the rear ball diff but not to far otherwise you will strip it, tighten the front ball diff a littles less than the rear. these are only the starting setup that has been successful for many people. From here you can customise the handling to you're prefrence. |
RE: TT-01
do you know of any tutorials that are online for these?... hopefully step-by-step with pix?

RE: TT-01
or if i were to get the tt-01r would i still need everything there?... because a lot of places are saying that it already has a lot of hop ups that i would still build in a tt-01

RE: TT-01
If you got the tt-01r then all you would need is abs tire and some ball diffs for it to become a drifter properly. so go with the tt-01r.

RE: TT-01
i'm using 500,000wt in the rear and nothing for the front, i'm considering using some kind of soilcone oil to simulate limited slip for the front.
