Drifting
Hey guys i have just recently bought some drifting tyres and i thought i wiould gie this a go and boy o this is fun, i just wanted to know the best setup to help me on my way
i have a V one S with a gx15 motor and im running 15% nitro now what is best Toe in or toe out.?? and what hardnest wouldu recammend on the shocks.??? Thanks guys Steve |

you want a soft front set-up on that car, slightly firmer than electric due to the weight of the nitro, i would go medium springs front , firm rear, try a 25wt oil front, 35 rearwt oil in the shocks.. make sure you run that engine in via the ron paris guid, heat cycle will make that engine last a hell of a lot longer!!... toe in at the +1 just to help keep her staight under power, thats about it realy, send a video dude, long time no chat... did you get the car i suggested to you??...;) |

na im sticking with my V one S, i painted it a pearl Purple at work boy o its very nice...
every time i start drifting i end up just doing dohnuts, seems that the steering is very sensitive.. |

HEY! alright finally another VoneS drifter! i've been drifting mine since six months ago. it's a good drifter if set up right. i have a few things i would sugest doing incase you are interested.
first use stock shocks but mount them in way that gives you the most ground clearance (i know it sounds silly but it really worked for me!) the suspension of the car will be softer and the drifts will be smoother as you have more control with the softer suspension. second try to fine the right weight setup to counter balance the right side of the car. the batteries and reciever is alot of weight on one side. see if you can find some flat pieces of lead or copper and use double sided tape to stick it on to the left side of the car to balance the car. these minor mods helped a great deal with drifting the car. it's been alot of fun so far. also keep in mind the temp. of the engine. i snapped the stock gs15 piston link and a T15 piston link already, but those were because of some really stupid misstakes that i made[:@]. any way, it's nice to know there's another fellow vones drifter out there good luck. if you need any help pm me and i'll try my best. |
