I don't have a clue what size. I would guess 2inch? Just bring a rim with you when you go buy some.

I say super glue for a nice strong hold.

RE: Drift Tires

RE: Drift Tires

use gorilla glue or locktite powergrab...that stuff is strong enough to replace nails...superman couldnt remove it..

RE: Drift Tires

haha well, theres a little problem. If I ever want to remove em, using loctite wouldnt be good. THe strongest person i know is superman, so i will be screwed ;)

NNNNOOOOOO!!!!![:@][:@][:@] Don't ever glue your ABS tires to your rims. ABS does not last for years. When they are completly worn, your never going to get them off. I see I have to start visiting this forum more often.:)

you can do that with hot glue. i can easily rip off the hot glue from the ABS. but for some magical reason, the glue will not come off while driving. i think hot gluing is the best way.

yeah i second the E-tape.

just the wrap the center of the rims a few times with E tape then push the ABS over the rim, then step on it to mkae sure it fully locks one, and your good to go :)

RE: Drift Tires

thats what i did with my mini-t. I used some foam tape and e-tape and they locked pretty good. Since i didnt have any tires this weekend, i wne ton a rampage; i used only my rims, no tires, abs, etc, just rims!! they were my old rims, so i didnt care what happended to em. But man was thatt loud!!!!Worked well though.

Found some grey pvc pipe im gonna cut up in a bit. My mom's friend is an electrician and has tons of pipe he uses for wireing and stuff.

RE: Drift Tires

for attaching drift tyres to rims use weathering tape.
the foam tape with one side being sticky which you use to seal windows and doors against wind coming in.
works like a charm and the tire is easy to remove.

RE: Drift Tires

I use electric tape around the rims and silicon glue around the inside of the rims. So if I need to change the rims, I can just scrape the silicon and plop the old abs, abs though is tough and can last a long time.

RE: Drift Tires

Just mounted em. They fit pretty snug, so just to reinforce them, i put a small bead of CA around the inner ring.

GTB 09-26-2007 03:57 PM

RE: Drift Tires

Well some rims will fit more snug than others.
