Drift-Noob Wants Some Help!

Hey there!

I've just brought myself a heap. An old HSP truck that I brought without seeing it running. Wow, stupid me. And you guessed it, it doesn't go. Already stripped two gears, I know why though, I had to lock-tight the main screw holding the clutch to the engine. Anyway, enough of that rubbish.

Nirto cars scare me, every time i buy one, it's crap. Heck, time to go electric. drifting. [:'(]

I don't have much money to spend. I could probably throw out $300-350 NZD (222-259 USD EXACTLY)on a new or near new model. Many people say that a beginner should go for a TT-01, well... heaps say go for that. But I'm not too sure.

HELP

If you have to buy the charger and battery's then the tt-01 is about all you will get on that budget. Don't worry tho its popular because its a solid cheap starter car.

Mate come on over to the RC Bandit and grab a TT-01D and your ready to go...although your budget may be a little low as you will need the kit ($240), a radio (from $100) a couple of batteries (from $40) and a charger. All up at least $450 I reackon...
We go drifting over at the underground carpark under the Pakuranga Warehouse every second Wednesday (this Wednesday come over and check it out) from 6pm.

Electric is very popular during the winter...but now that daylight Savings is here we will be getting into outdoor Nitro Drifting....;)

I might have to go second hand.

Has anybody got something that I should keep an eye out for?

Model?, ESC?, Body?, Radio?, Batteries, etc.

I found an old 7.2 1800 MAH trickle charger and battery (tamiya)-(the one that plugs onto the car), that's a good start. But dad won't like me if his car won't start due to a dead battery haha.

go second hand i agree.

you can get a working tt01 with hopups for the same price as a new one.
then later just buy the body you want.
