That is tight! I just moved to Denver from San Jose, CA! I knew a guy back in the day in my car club Outkast NC who had a few of those 86 rollas. I'm about to hook up a TT-01. Did you get the TT-01D? Should I just buy the TT-01 and hook it up myself, or buy the TT-01D?

RE: drifting my tt01 at work..

i just got the reg tt01 and i hopped it up myself. but getting the tt01d already has most of the hop up parts so thats the way id go if you like the tt01 chassis. with all the money i spent on my tt01 i would've gotten the ta05 instead cause it has all the adjustable parts already in it and its much smoother of a drivetrain. but the only downfall with the ta05 is that its belt driven so rock may get in there and damage the belts. the ta05 is about $160 and the tt01D is $135 at tower hobbies. not much of a difference. and the ta05 already has oil filled shocks and the tt01D doesnt. but its up to you what you would like... thats just my 2 cents..

thanks for looking

wrong documentation:
TT-01D comes with oil filled shocks, sport tuned motor, aluminium heat sink, ball bearings, adjustable arms, drift tires on the wheels...all that for les than 30 over TT-01...so it's a soooper choice...

on tower could be some typo sometimes...but check tamiya sites for details...

Yeh id agree too if u can afford it get the d spec will work out cheaper than buying a standard then having to buy the hopups in the end (like i did too[:o])
Only good thing is you see how much the standard kit improves as you upgrade which is always nice :D

impressive. What motor are you running on and what spur/pinion gear set do you have on it?

myae86rolla 10-19-2007 03:14 AM

RE: drifting my tt01 at work..

im running a trinity c027 pro 27T stock motor converted to bearings instead for bushings for the extra rpms. my gearing is 25T pinion and 55T spur thats a 5.72 gear ratio..

thanks for looking
