TT-01 for drift / rally?
I'm a first time poster and 100% newcomer to RC cars... I saw some videos of RC drifting which looked really fun, and I'm also a big fan of the WRC and rally racing in general. It seems like some people have made great "rally" rc cars - (Is this considered "off-road?")
I'm looking at buying my first car and I'm wondering if the TT-01 might be a decent starter for my purposes: I'd like to start at the $200-300 range total. I'd like to be able to drift on parking lots / driveways I'd like to be able to handle light offroading, to simulate a little rally racing - i.e. hard, flat dirt; possibly some type of gravel? I should also mention that I'm traveling to Japan soon and was thinking I could get a good deal on for example the Impreza TT-01 by Tamiya. Any advice for a newcomer? Thanks in advance :D |

Thanks! I think so too. I've been looking for good deals on the net and found these two which I'm trying to compare....
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...G4&P=ML#combos http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTHP6&P=7 The big thing is the first combo uses a different controller than the Tamiya one... What are the pros/cons of this for a beginner? |
RE: TT-01 for drift / rally?
with the kit u build it yourself so u get to know where everything goes and all that jazz. rtr is good cuz u get pretty much everything and then as u upgrade u learn the car. depends how u want to go about it. i like rtrs cuz building can be a pain, but building is good for learning.
