TT-01D Slop on the steeing links

Hi guys, I have the TT-01D and been drifting for 2-3 weeks now. From the beginning I noticed a lot of slop on the steering,,, is that normal. I built the car as per the manual. I do like the car a lot but the steering slop is killing.. Any help? (thanks god I am not racing with it)...

Any help?

Regards,
Hector

my best advice would be racing steering set, or maybe a servo. ive never experienced this with my tt personally though so i am guessing.

The plastic might be wearing down, +1 for alum rack.

That could be the case, but it has been like that from day 1. I guess Tamiya should had used bushings or bearings on the steering arms.. I will say I have 2-3 degrees of play on both directions.

Thanks for all the help.

you could try alum arms. i'm not sure that it will help but i know alum will wear less then plastic
