sprint 2 slop cleanup...
 

I just got my sprint 2 drift kit today... I have not had time to mess with it much today.. but just from checking a few things like the wheels and gears... there is more slop than I like.... what is the best way to go about eliminating this?

Can you explain your Slop ???

I have very little problems with my Sprint 2, its tight without being too over tight..

hi i need help i just got the sprint 2 and it wont drift if you at a high speed it just wont lose the rear end and let it slide if coming round the corder at a high speed what do i need to do?

well it depends, did you get the sprint 2 DRIFT or the sprint2sport....if sport get abs or drift tires if drift well you need to slow down whan you drift, i know i cant drift at full throttle but good luck, and sprint 2s dont have much slop so you didnt put together right lol

Yeah, if you go too fast into a Drift, the fronts can't get traction and the Car will just go Straight... You need to get off the throttle, turn, then Hammer the throttle again and that should do the trick..

You need to upset the Balance of the Car to get the tail to step out..

ok i was just wondering i surpose nitro has a lot more rpm lol

yea nitro does because electric can only pas so much energy through a cord, without ruining it, and plus hpi sprint2s are belt driving so yeah they dont have as many RPM but i think you'll notice slowing down will really help and you can really drift them that way good luck man.

I didn't put the sprint 2 drift together... It came already put together... but I broke it down.. completely and started rebulding it as it was a kit... adding a few things here and there... the original slop I was talking about was the play in the dog bones... and excess space in the axles in between the knuckles... that was causing the tires to have a little play in them... I fixed this problem by eleminating the the play by putting 2 small o rings inside the diff shafts where the dog bones slide into... this allowed for the dog bones to fit nice and snug forcing all the slop out of the wheels... and before anyone ask... I checked to make sure it would not cause binding... still spins nice and smooth... will work for the time being until I upgrade to cv axles later.....
