TT01 VS Sprint 2
I'm 14 and for my 15th birthday my parents said I could get a new car
I've loved powerslides and drifting(not the fart cannon) just sliding around the track. I've narrowed my choices to drifting my M03, Sprint 2 Drift assembled(yes I know about the gearbox mod) and TT01D with alloy prop shaft. Can you pro's tell me which would be best for drifting around a relatively smooth area with a few little pebbles. I know the Tamiya's are bomb proof, I really think my mini could drift with a few modifications Thanks for your advice, Nasher |
RE: TT01 VS Sprint 2
ive had the TT01 for about half year and i think its great all i did was add pvc pipe to the rims and i was drifting. I would recomend the alloy propshaft and heatsink for the motor though

RE: TT01 VS Sprint 2
i have a nearly completely hopped up tt01 that i drift with and i love that thing. it is bulletproof. but really you cant go wrong either way, but if ur lookin at the sprint 2 i would just put down the money and get a cyclone s.

Cyclone S for sure Sprint 2 is good but the cyclone S is just a dream.. |
RE: TT01 VS Sprint 2
the only problem I have with the cyclone is that to get the car I would have to pay even more to get the speedo, I was looking at a fwd only speedo for 23 so, I would lose that. also is the sprint 2 any good on smooth pavement with a couple little pebbles as long as i do the modified gear covers?
As of right now I'm going to get a tt01 but it may change |
RE: TT01 VS Sprint 2
strike that last one, I''m getting a cyclone s. I''ll just "borrow" electronics from one of my other cars, and the parents are getting me some foams with a catch, i have to drift around the floor to clean it, it''s like i get paid to have fun!

RE: TT01 VS Sprint 2
I''ve got a stock tt01d with pvc and i run with a friend who has a sprint 2 (not drift) rtr with pvc. I think his motor is a 17 turn stock, so it can hold wider angles than my stock tt01d motor can (it won''t be stock for long though). But as far as control, he swears up and down that my tt01 ''feels'' better. His biggest complaint is that the speed control on the sprint won''t let you hit full throttle from a dead stop to start an instant drift. It''s almost as if it has a really simple form of traction control.
