Nitro Drifting on ABS

I was looking for opinions on Nitro drifting with ABS. Right now, I have HPI Type A Drift Tires and I like the way they work, but I'm burning through them like crazy and they're pretty expensive. I was thinking about trying some Sushi's, but I wanted to ask around first. Thanks.

I use them, you just can't gun the throttle off the start, and you can't really hit those top speeds.
Everytime you do either, you'll just spinout.

You might also run in to overheating problems because of the lack in speed. I havent tried them yet, I might though. $24 for a set of Type A's can get expensive...My advise would be to run on smooth surfaces. This will help alot with ware. I dont run mine on the street or rough surfaces anymore. So far Ive been able to get a longer life out of my type A's
